Route 66 is a delightfully authentic all American diner. The interior is just where you would expect to see ‘The Fonz’ hanging out with checkered floors, red leather booths and lots of vintage Americana to boot. A restaurant wouldn’t be our our list of eating out if it didn’t have a section to actually eat out (doors). Route 66 has numerous of outside tables which are perfect to catch some sun or enjoy the breeze.

The staff are very friendly (as you would expect in a real American diner) There is a pool table and darts to make this more than just a meal. During the summer months there is a regular weekly quiz which is worth a go. Looking for Sports? Route 66 shows most sporting events but are always happy to tune in to what you would like to watch – even if it’s the tiddlywinks championship!

Now you might think American food is a deep fried heart attack waiting to happen but Route 66 has a range of food to suit most. Burgers are popular with loads of choices like classic cheeseburgers, vegetarian and the ‘Ultimate Burger’ which is a double stacked paddy with toppings upon toppings. It’s not just burgers, there’s Mexican options, Italian options, Grill options and of course Salad and Wraps (if you're trying to keep your bikini body). Kids can even build their own meal deal, which is real winner for those who will only order off the adult menu!

There are desserts upon desserts upon desserts! Super Bowl Sharer, ice cream, chocolate brownies, a large donut, sauces and even toppings like smarties – convinced yet? Wash it all down with American milkshakes, cocktails, beers, wine, spirits and a selection of soft drinks.

Whether it’s a casual dinner or relaxing lunch Route 66 is not to be missed.
